Nester is a groundbreaking Peer-to-Peer (P2P) investment platform, redefining the way individuals engage with their financial futures. I joined the team to conceive and design the mobile & web apps, and also a complete design system to ensure coherence across the different products.

The main challenge for this project, was to create a strong design system that we could use on Mobile & Web apps. I used Atomic Design principles to create base components (text styles, color palette, buttons, icons, tags, inputs etc...). More complex components have been added to the design system all along the project, following the needs of the UI. Once finished, the design system had more than 400 components and was fully scalable.

When designing the screens, I tried to keep the same navigation & interaction patterns. The goal was to make sure that the users could use the product efficiently.

Nester was one of the most challenging projects that I had to work on. Firstly because the financing inductry was totally new for me. Secondly, the product itself was intricate involving investment according to Islamic principles and compliance with Sharia law and this required a significant learning curve. The product is also complex with the different users types with specific features for each of them. In the end, I’m very proud with the work done on both the website and with the mobile app. As I’m writing these words, the development team is working on the Investor Web platform I designed, using the same design system.
